Rocket City SLAM

Blast off in the Rocket City and come Sweat Like A Mother – or as we like to call it S.L.A.M. We are not your typical stroller workout class. While we provide fun and challenging total-body workouts 5 days a week, we also build a strong community with kids’ playgroups, mom’s nights out, and so much more! Come join our TRIBE!

Come check us out over the mountain and through the Cove – your first class is FREE! Please bring the following if you have them: a stroller, a yoga mat or towel, a set of dumbbells, a resistance band, water, snacks for baby, and a need to S.L.A.M.! Pregnant mamas are more than welcomed and encouraged, and if your stroller has been packed up and put away because your kiddos are older and in school, please come too! This is for ALL moms of ALL ages and stages.

Check out the tabs below for information about times and location and be sure to visit us on Facebook!

Huntsville, Alabama Instructor

Danielle Blackwell | email

Danielle has a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and holds an Alabama Registered Nursing license. She is an ACE certified group fitness instructor and is also healthcare provider CPR/AED certified through AHA. She became a member of Stroller Strong Moms Leavenworth in 2016. After falling in love with the community and program, she went on to become an instructor.  Being a military spouse means home is where the Army sends you, so now that she will be living in Huntsville with her husband and 3 daughters, she will have the opportunity to open SSM Huntsville. She is excited to bring SSM to local mamas in hopes that they will feel the same sense of community and support that she found in her previous SLAM village. Providing them with a SLAM family to workout with, share mommy moments with, and form a village of their own, all while modeling a healthy lifestyle for their kiddos is the ultimate goal for Danielle and SLAM Huntsville. Danielle’s favorite ways to SLAM are high-intensity workouts, plyometrics, yoga, and good ole’ friendly competition, although exercising (and DANCING) in general with some good music is what she finds therapeutic. She also enjoys occasional long runs.

I love, love, LOVE! Stroller Strong Moms! From the very first day, I had NO idea it would impact my life the way it has. Going to class until about a week before I had baby #2 most definitely helped me achieve my goal of having a natural birth the second time around and helped me recover pretty quickly afterwards. I also ran my first 5k and am now addicted. Looking forward to MORE awesome butt-kicking workouts, watching all the babies play and grow, and making new friends all at the same time! Andrea
