The Alamo City offers a beautiful setting for mamas to Sweat Like a Mother, or as we like to call it, SLAM! Stroller Strong Moms San Antonio is a fun, full-body bootcamp workout that incorporates a variety of movements and exercise techniques to help mamas reach their full fitness potential. Our classes are varied and adaptable to all fitness levels. Our San Antonio stroller fitness class meets three times a week at Joske Pavilion in Brackenridge Park. We utilize dumbbells, running, plyometrics, body movements, our strollers, and mobility to keep our classes challenging and fun!

At Stroller Strong Moms San Antonio, all of our coaches are certified group fitness instructors through the American Council on Education and hold current CPR and first aid certifications. These accreditations allow our instructors to keep the classes varied, stimulating, and most importantly, enjoyable.

Building Strength & Community

We are proud to be a community of fun-loving women that are always ready for a challenge. Together, we strive to push each other to meet our fitness goals, cheer on our accomplishments, and motivate other mamas to become the best version of themselves. On top of our regular classes, we also meet for Mom’s Night Out events, and offer monthly playgroups for the kids.

SLAMAntonio meets three times a week near Joske Pavilion at Brackenridge Park. Everything we love for a good sweat can be found here: shaded paths for running, open fields for speed work, stone stairs for step ups, park benches and fences for plyometrics and resistance-band work and a stellar playground for after-class fun. Be ready to S.L.A.M!

  • Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 9:30 a.m. – Joske Pavilion area of Brackeridge Park
  • Inclement weather classes – Please “like” us on Facebook or follow us on Instragram @s.l.a.m.antonio for the most up-to-date information on class during poor weather conditions.

Parking, Start Location & What to Bring to Class

Park in the spots closest to the playground area and join us on the grass. You’ll need a stroller, water bottle, and snacks for your babes. We also use dumbbells, resistance bands and yoga mats. Don’t have those? That’s OK! Our instructors have extras. For everyone’s safety during class, all children age 4 and younger must be strapped into a stroller. Older children on a school break are always welcome! We just ask that they play near your stroller during each station. SLAMDads, family visitors and friends from out of town are always welcome free of charge. Class starts at 9:30 so we can get you sweaty and back to your busy day in an hour! Grab a Free Trial HERE.

We love to SLAM outdoors whenever possible! If severe weather is on the horizon, check Facebook or Instagram one hour before class for cancellations.

Who's Coming to Class?

Danielle Gamiz | email

Owner, Instructor

Danielle is an ACE certified group fitness instructor and is CPR/AED certified. She discovered Stroller Strong Moms with her youngest son, Max, while living in Washington, D.C., and it was love at first workout! Since then Danielle has developed a passion for empowering moms through tough, goal-oriented fitness with a side of fun. She is a Navy wife, mom to four active kiddos and a part-time copy editor. Sweating like a mother has shown her that giving yourself tough workouts throughout the week gives you the energy and positive attitude to take on even your toughest days as a mom. Strength-training, yoga and short-distance running are her favorite ways to sweat.

SLAMantonio is a workout group unmatched by any other! They not only get you in shape with their full body workouts while encoring you every step of the way (literally) but also act as a irreplaceable support group for all moms! Our monthly night outs are a blast and the kids enjoy all our play dates. I was so surprised how well my 2-year-old does staying in her stroller (even in the heat) and the instructors make sure all the kiddos stay entertained so us mamas can get that sweat on together. Love this group like family!

Mandi Afoa | email

Owner, Instructor

Mandi is an ACE certified group fitness instructor and CPR/AED certified. She became a member of Stroller Strong Moms – Savannah in 2016. After falling in love with the community and workouts, she went on to become their manager before her husband’s military career brought her family to San Antonio. She has two kiddos in tow (2015 & 2017). She has a passion for community, fitness and friendship. Mandi’s favorite way to Sweat Like a Mother is through partner exercises, tabatas, HIIT (high-intensity workouts) and running. Mandi loves the sense of community that Stroller Strong Moms promotes — a village of determined women challenging and encouraging one another.

Affiliate Locations

I was so happy when Stroller Strong Moms opened up a location here in San Antonio. I had just given birth to my 4th baby and working out on my own was getting monotonous and my results were starting to plateau. That’s when I began SLAM and the variety of workouts helped me get over the hump and achieve my fitness goals! There are so many things to be gained by joining the Stroller Strong family; health, fitness, and sisterhood being at the top of my list 💘 It really doesn’t matter who you are or where you are at in your fitness journey, there is a place for you in our tribe!
