The Anchorage Team

Patti Hentschel | Photographer
My name is Patti and I’m a SLAM Anchorage OG and photographer. I’m married to my best friend and we have three beautiful kids who keep us busy day and night. I am so thankful for the ladies of SLAM Anchorage, and I’ve loved being able to photograph them over the past year. When I’m not SLAMing, you can find me reading, running, cooking, or sneaking snacks while hiding from my kids.

Jenny Kosin | 500RYT, RPYT
Jenny was born and raised in Eagle River and is the loving mama to four furbabies and two sweet daughters. After getting her BA from Montana State and law degree from Michigan State, her love for the outdoors, mountains, snow, and the spirit of Alaska brought her and her family back in 2012. In addition to teaching yoga, she owns her own photography business, Jennifer Rene Photography.
The stresses of pursuing higher education and job seeking led Jenny to deepen her yoga practice throughout the years. She completed her 200-hour training at Karma Yoga Center in Denver, her 300-hour training at Spirit Path Yoga & Wellness in Anchorage, and her 85-hour prenatal training with Yo Mama in Boulder.
Jenny’s yoga “philosophy” is to practice and teach with an open heart and mind, and be prepared for transformation. Jenny hopes to provide a safe, supportive space for students to practice, allowing surrender of judgment of self and others and awakening inner radiance. Recognizing yoga can be a deeply emotional practice, she also encourages laughter and lightheartedness to stay balanced!
